Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect, how does this process work?
You can request an appointment online, via email (Nyla.lp@gmail.com), or phone (986-789-8599). Once you have made contact to request an appointment, you will receive a phone call from Renew Hope to schedule your session. There will be paperwork to complete as part of the Intake process.
If you are using insurance, be sure to include your insurance information when you complete the paperwork as well as any EAP sessions and authorization numbers. You are ultimately responsible for all fees not covered by your insurance, however, we will check with the insurance company and advise you of any copays you may have.
How much does therapy cost?
Sessions are 50 minutes per session.
$120 for Adult Individual sessions $80.00 for non insured private pay session
If you are using insurance, your payment will be whatever your copay is unless you have a deductible that has not been met, in which case, you will be responsible for the entire fee.
A Sliding Scale may be considered on an individual basis.
Are there additional fees?
Additional fees include letters, releasing progress note, and court appearance.
What if I schedule an appointment but don’t show up or cancel?
If you cancel prior to 24 hours before your scheduled session there is no fee to you.
If you do not show up for your appointment or if you cancel less than 24 hours from the time of your appointment you will be charged a $30 fee (which is not covered by insurance).
What forms of payment do you accept?
You may pay with cash, checks, or credit card.
Do you use the Bible in the counseling process?
As a Christian, I view each of my clients as loved and valued by God. I am trained to include scripture and Biblical application in the counseling process, however I am also respectful of the fact that my client may have different spiritual beliefs. You will have the opportunity in the first session to express your preferences in this area. My goal is to help you in the healing process, not impose particular religious beliefs on you.
How long is the typical counseling process, and how long will it take to get better?
Part of the goal-setting process in your first session includes determining how often you will be seeing your therapist. In most situations, I recommend attending weekly sessions, then stepping down to every two weeks as progress is being made. The frequency of your sessions is ultimately determined by you.
